Sueno (Tarrega)

This is the Sueno Lessons page. The first video is of me playing the piece in it’s entirety, followed by the video lessons. There are links to the tabs of this song as well as to the sheet music/tab documents I make of all the pieces. When posting questions/comments, please mention which video your question is about. Enjoy!

Hints on SUENO:
I perform this piece in Tempo Rubato, meaning I speed up or slow down the tempo to better capture the way I wish to interpret the piece. When first beginning to learn any piece, I suggest you do it in the tempo that is written. This piece is the ideal next step for players who have learned Lagrima and Adelita. There are a lot of triplets in this piece, which can be pretty tricky for beginners. I suggest in practicing the triplet parts seperately a lot, and being very precise in their timing and execution. Plus some triplets have ornamentation as well, which can make keeping time very hard. Try these without the ornaments at first, and slowly work them in after you are confident with triplets. For those who don’t understand my tabs/sheet music, read the article entitled “Reading my tabs/sheet music” in the “Editorial” section which explains how to read them.
