Orientale – Andante (II) Gtr1 (Granados)

This is the Orientale – Andante Lessons page. This is a duet piece. The 1st guitar part is featured here. Look for the 2nd guitar part in the “Piece” section. There are two movements, Andante and Lento. I do not have a video lesson for Lento, please email me privately for the Lento sheet music. The first video is a recording of the piece, followed by the video lessons. The performance video is a different arrangement than the lessons videos. There are links to the tabs of this song as well as to the sheet music/tab documents I make of all the pieces. When posting questions/comments, please mention which video your question is about. Enjoy!

Hints on ORIENTALE – ANDANTE:
This guitar part is the easiest of the two, and is very attainable. The piece switches from rest stroke and free stroke, so it is a good piece to develop the ability to change between the two. The hardest parts are definitely the trills that occur. The actual playing of the trills are not so tough, but the hard part is keeping the trill within it’s appropriate space and without losing the beat. I suggest not trilling at the beginning if you are having trouble with them, and slowly adding the trill in a little at a time. After this Andante movement comes the Lento movement, which can be found on the “Piece” section of the site. After the Lento movement, you return to this Andante movement, skip the repeat sigh that occurs, and end the piece at the end of the movement.
