Tremolo Exercises
This is a set of three tremolo exercises based on the A minor chord. The tablature link of the exercises can be found at the top. Look in the “Technique” section of this site to see the “Tremolo Technique” video lesson if you don’t know how to play a tremolo.
Exercises 1-2-3
Hints: All three exercises can each be repeated in a continuous loop. Be very relaxed as you perform these exercises, and go very slow at first. Have an evenness in tone, volume, and spacing in the tremolo, even at a slow speed. Only after you can perform these exercises with total evenness should you attempt to speed up the tremolo a bit. Remember, developing a tremolo is a long process, and attempting to skip steps will result in a bad and sloppy tremolo.

Thank you so much for the exercises on tremelo, and all the other techniques. They are very helpful to me.
Could you tell me at what the correct metronome speed is for tremolo.
Thank you,
Renee Labordus

Hello Renee. The metronome speed depends on the song you are playing and the speed you want. First learn proper tremolo technique in a slow tempo and speed it up little by little. listen to how others perform a tremolo song and try to match the speed while playing the tremolo with correct technique.
